Scott Lachance/Darby Hendrickson

Vancouver Canucks (1999-2000/2000-2001)

Documentation:
There is no LOA for this particular sweater. The jersey was acquired in trade from a www.gameworn.net member.

Tags:
The neckline has the CCM "made in Canada" tag and there is a size tag which reads "56."

Patches:
There are no patches on this jersey except for the CCM patch above the nameplate on the jersey back.

Nameplate:
The "LACHANCE" nameplate is clean. Blue letters are sewn onto a white nameplate which is sewn onto the jersey back. There has definitely been a nameplate change on this jersey. The nameplate that was originally on the jersey was much longer than the "LACHANCE" nameplate. This sweater was most likely recycled from a Darby Hendrickson gamer. Hendrickson wore number 14 in the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 seasons. Lachance wore 14 in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. It is likely that Lachance "inherited" Hendrickson's old sweater from 1999-2000.

Hemline:
The back hem contains the NHL shield. There is no visible wear on the hem.

Neck:
The neck shows little game use.

Fight Strap:
The fight strap is clean and has the number 14 written on it in permanent marker.

Left Sleeve and Shoulder:
The left sleeve/shoulder shows minor game use. A couple of tiny minor abrasions can be found on the black of the sleeve. A nice abrasion/board burn is evident on the silver striping. The red stripe has a tiny fabric abrasion that is almost poking through the jersey. Some tiny minor abrasions can be seen on the white upper sleeve and shoulder panel.

Right Sleeve and Shoulder:
The right sleeve/shoulder shows little to no game use.

Jersey Front:
The jersey front shows a few good examples of game use. To the right of the jersey crest are some thick black marks; they appear to be puck marks or perhaps marks from stick contact. The bottom of the crest, towards the right, is also blackened from a stick hack. The bottom of the crest, on the blue of the "C," shows some stick marks as the fabric is scratched up. The lightest of stick marks appears on the upper portion of the right side of the jersey as you view it. It protrudes slightly into the shoulder panel. Some pilling is noticeable in small areas of the jersey front.

Jersey Back:
The left side of the jersey back, to the left of the numbers, shows a couple of bold hack marks. A nameplate change, most likely from "HENDRICKSON" to "LACHANCE" is evident.

Other Notes:
I am still trying to definitively determine that this sweater was worn by both Darby Hendrickson and Scott Lachance in regular season play. Under this scenario, the jersey would have had to have been worn in both the 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 seasons or preseasons.
