Tags:
A Maska Air-Knit tag is found in the neckline; in pen, a "54" is written in to denote the jersey size.

Patches:
There are no patches on this jersey; none have been removed.

Nameplate:
Blue lettering is sewn onto a white nameplate. The nameplate is clean; the blue threading on the lettering shows some excess threading. There is no evidence of a nameplate change.

Hemline:
The hemline contains the proper Starter/NHL patch on the jersey back. The hemline, in blue fabric, is clean and shows no marks or use.

Neck:
The neckline shows some stress, however there are no marks or tears.

Fight Strap:
This fight strap is clean. The snaps show some rust and corrosion with a hint of salt deposit.

Left Sleeve and Shoulder:
The left sleeve and shoulder show light game use. There is a two inch stick mark on the underside of the upper arm on the burgundy part of the sleeve. The rest of the sleeve and shoulder area, including the sewn-on numbers, are clean and show little or no game use.

Right Sleeve and Shoulder:
The right sleeve and shoulder show minimal game use. There are the slightest of board burns on the elbow, but you have to look extremeley hard to see them. The rest of the sleeve and shoulder area, including the sewn-on numbers, are clean and show little or no game use.

Jersey Front:
The jersey front shows very light game use. There is a puck mark across the white stripe which runs along the bottom of the jersey front on the left hand side. The crest is clean. The Colorado Avalanche jerseys from the early part of the 1995-96 season featured a smaller crest size. The crest was enlarged for television later during the year.

Jersey Back:
The jersey back shows very light game use. Across the second of the "2"s are a couple of hack marks that are parallel and spaced about an inch apart from each other. There is also some fraying of the fabric to the left of the nameplate, as if there was some scuffing along the boards or maybe the goal posts.

Other Notes:
This Lemieux game sweater displays beautifully, despite the lack of serious game use. It is doubtful that the jersey was worn in more than a handful of games. Similar Lemieux jerseys have been offered for as much as $2500 US.
