Tags:
There is a completely faded white tag sewn into the center of the neckline which is most definitely
the standard Lutch International tag. The tag is torn in the upper middle section.
There is a "54" size tag sewn into the center of the neckline.
Patches:
All numbers and designs are dye-sublimated onto the sweater. The "A" for Alternate Captain is sewn
onto the jersey front in the usual location.
Nameplate:
The nameplate is sewn onto the jersey back with the name "GAREEV" in Cyrillic. The nameplate was
at one time removed from the jersey and then sewn back on, although it could possibly be a new replacement nameplate.
Hemline:
There are no patches or logos along the hemline. The hemline shows excellent game use as there are
several frayed edges and various burns. There is also some decent filth.
Neck:
The neckline shows some sweat stains on the inside and a few faded black marks. The front of the
neckline where the "V" is was obviously torn apart and sewn back together again.
Fight Strap:
This jersey does not have a fight strap.
Left Sleeve and Shoulder:
The left sleeve and shoulder exhibit tons of game abuse. The white stripe on the cuff of the sleeve
has a blue mark which is most probably board paint. There are several puck marks on the sleeve's cuff and it is
evident that the sleeve was torn parallel to the original sewing lines by about two inches and repaired.
Just below and to the right of the "18" there is a team repair of a two-inch rip. There are too many puck and stick marks
to mention as well as some hack marks and board burns/abrasions to the sleeve, shoulder, and elbow.
There are also spots of red on this area of the jersey which could either be board paint or pipe paint.
Right Sleeve and Shoulder:
The right sleeve and shoulder area is just as abused as the left side. A five-inch rip parallel to the original sewing line
was repaired by the team. There is also a one-inch rip near the armpit that was repaired by the team.
Likewise, the elbow exhibits a team repair of a small rip. There are plenty of board burns and puck marks
throughout this area of the sweater, again, too numerous to mention. The shoulder area exhibits two large rips in the fabric, both
repaired by the team. There are also more than several black marks and abrasions.
Jersey Front:
The Salavat Yulaev crest is beautiful, even though it is dye-sublimated onto the jersey. The crest has
several hack marks and stick marks and also contains a fair amount of general filth. Above the crest and below the "V" of the neckline
is a huge rip that must have occured when the neckline was originally torn. The rip extends from the "V" of the neckline
in a diagonal direction for about an inch and one-half below the neckline. Below the crest there are several long
stick and hack marks, puck marks, and general filth, again, too numerous to mention. Towards the left of the Lutch logo are some
scuffings. Where the jersey reads "UFA" in Cyrillic, there are some black marks above and below the lettering. The "A" appears fairly clean.
Jersey Back:
The top half of the jersey back is relatively clean when compared to the rest of the sweater.
There is evidence of a nameplate change as stated earlier in the "Nameplate" section of the jersey description.
To the right of the nakeplate there is some good scuffing. The smallest of board burns can be found on the red
part of the "8" in the jersey number. The lower third of the jersey back contains excellent game use.
There various markings, no doubt made from pucks, sticks, board paint, and even abrasions from the boards or other equipment.
A small unrepaired hole can be found on the red stripe on the lower left of the jersey back.
Other Notes:
This 1999-2000 Alik Gareev Salavat Yulaev gamer is absolutely hammered.
There are no words that can describe the extent of the game abuse this sweater has taken. It is a great addition
to any serious Russian game-wron jersey collection.
